I am pursuing my masters in Obstetric and Gynaecology at CMC Vellore. Earlier, I had completed my MBBS here followed by 2 years of bond obligation at a mission hospital in Kanyakumari.
I joined my course last September. I have 2 more years of studies followed by another 2 years of bond obligation to complete with CMC or any bond hospital elsewhere.
The challenges of working here are primarily the workload which is often overwhelming, in the middle of the chaos, its often easy to lose patience and temper with the people around. Often in the madness of seeing so many patients its so easy to forget the things that matter. There is so much pressure to perform, to be fast and excellent at the same time. Personally its been a challenge slowing down and trying to hear them out jus a little bit more to understand the fullness of the problems they are facing.
